Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
Qubahan Techno Journal (QTJ) is committed to maintaining the integrity, reliability, transparency, and ethical quality of the scholarly record.
The journal's practices are informed by internationally recognized principles of publication ethics and research integrity, including guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must submit original work.
Plagiarism, unattributed copying, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, fabrication, falsification, and misleading manipulation of research materials are prohibited.
QTJ may use similarity-detection and other research-integrity screening tools.
A similarity percentage alone is not used to determine plagiarism.
2. Duplicate and Concurrent Submission
A manuscript must not be under consideration simultaneously by another journal.
Duplicate or redundant publication is prohibited.
3. Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship must reflect genuine scholarly contribution.
Guest, gift, honorary, purchased, and ghost authorship are prohibited.
All authors must approve the submitted manuscript and final Version of Record.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose relevant financial and non-financial competing interests.
5. Funding
All relevant financial, institutional, governmental, commercial, or material support must be disclosed.
6. Data and Research Integrity
Fabrication, falsification, selective manipulation, deceptive presentation, or misleading alteration of research data, mathematical results, computational outputs, images, or creative research materials is prohibited.
7. Data and Research Materials
Authors should make supporting data, code, models, research instruments, and other materials available where ethically, legally, and practically possible.
8. Human Participants
Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical requirements.
Where ethics approval is required, authors must identify the approving institution or committee and provide the reference number where available.
Informed consent must be obtained where required.
9. Vulnerable Populations
Research involving vulnerable individuals or communities requires appropriate safeguards.
10. Privacy and Confidentiality
Identifiable or sensitive personal information must not be published without an appropriate ethical and legal basis.
11. Images, Figures and Creative Materials
Images, figures, recordings, artworks, datasets, or other research materials must not be manipulated or represented deceptively.
12. Citation Practices
References must be relevant and genuinely support the claims for which they are cited.
Citation coercion, citation cartels, fabricated references, and citation manipulation intended primarily to influence metrics are prohibited.
13. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly and ethical considerations and are independent of financial, commercial, institutional, personal, or political influence.
14. Allegations of Misconduct
QTJ will evaluate credible allegations of research or publication misconduct.
Possible actions include:
• requesting clarification;
• requesting original data or documentation;
• suspending editorial processing;
• rejecting a manuscript;
• issuing a correction;

15. Post-Publication Concerns
Substantiated concerns raised after publication will be evaluated and may result in clarification, correction, Expression of Concern, retraction, or other appropriate action.
16. Complaints and Appeals
Authors and readers may submit reasoned complaints concerning editorial procedures, research integrity, or published content.
